God gave the responsibility of reaching the world to New Testament churches. No harvest field is more ripe today than university and college campuses. The world is at our doorstep. In Launching Point, Kyle Austin makes a passionate plea to seize this unprecedented opportunity and clearly sets forth how any church can begin to engage their local campus with the Gospel.
This book grows out of the tremendous need to raise awareness for the open door God has provided to reach students and faculty on the college campus. The door is not closed; it is wide open! You will be stirred and challenged to begin engaging those whom God has brought to our doorsteps, right on the college and university campuses.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Kyle and Amanda Austin, were exposed to the Collegians for Christ ministry at the University of Tennessee while attending The Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN. God used this exposure, combined with their burden to reach the younger generation to call them to Appalachian State to assist a group of students in establishing a CFC ministry there. For five years, they served the ministry at Appalachian State and have since trained and placed a new campus minister over this ministry.
Through researching the campuses of America, God revealed to us the great need to reach and disciple college students. Kyle and Amanda are currently traveling the country assisting local churches in reaching their college and university campuses by helping them establish a Collegians for Christ ministry on their local campus.
